Project for Micro-enterprise development project for women in the cross-border area

The Project “Microenterprise development project for women in the cross-border area” is financed by the Delegation of the European union in Macedonia, under the Cross-border Programme the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia - Albania under the Instrument of Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II) allocations for 2014 & 2015. The project is implemented by the Institute for human right and the Founation Egalite, as well as the Centre for Comparative and International Studies (CCIS) and the Center for Change Management (CCM). 

The overall objective of the action is to increase competitiveness of women and strengthen the women entrepreneurship in Polog and Elbasan region and provide sustainable solutions for development of women`s micro and small businesses. The specific objectives are:

  1. To increase personal entrepreneurial skills and business competencies of women engaged in formal or informal business;
  2. To establish legal support service for the management and administrative matters that entrepreneurs might encounter in doing business;
  3. To revise and enhance the local and national policy measures for support of women entrepreneurship;

Duration: 01.04.2018 – 30.09.2020

Final beneficiaries: Potential and already existing women entrepreneurs from Polog and Elbasan

Objectives:

The overall objective of the action is to increase competitiveness of women and strengthen the women entrepreneurship in Polog and Elbasan region and provide sustainable solutions for development of women`s micro and small businesses. The specific objectives are:

O1: To increase personal entrepreneurial skills and business competencies of women engaged in formal or informal business;

O2: To establish legal support service for the management and administrative matters that entrepreneurs might encounter in doing business;

O3: To improve on production, access to market and cross-border cooperation and trade among women businesses and companies in the cross-border region

O4: To revise and enhance the local and national policy measures for support of women entrepreneurship; 

Expected results:

Result 1. Improved skills and competences in business management, risk mitigation and general entrepreneurial attitudes and business values;

Result 2. Established Business Advisory Services for women entrepreneurs in order to increase on economic activities and business development;

Result 3. Disseminated Legal Services Information on duties, taxes, rights and obligations for entrepreneurs, and individual advice on legal matters; 

Result 4: Increased economic activity in production, trade and sale of local products as a result of increased design, packaging, cross-border cooperation and/or online store and marketing;

Result 5: New policy measures developed in joint activity of local and national authorities to take advantages of women in business;
